A one-way link is created when a website links directly to your website and you do not link directly back to that particular site. Google and other major search engines place a lot of emphasis on one-way links. Think of one-way links as a form of balloting system. Each link that points to your website from another website is casting a vote of support for your site. The more one-way links pointing to your website, the more votes of support you have.
Two way links are still useful seen from a point of direct traffic generation as long as the links to your site isn’t burrowed among long lists of links to other websites. If the to way links are included in the running text of the partner site in a meaning full way it will generate some targeted traffic from visitors searching for information from the partner site. But as mentioned the search engine enhancer function doesn’t work that well anymore.
Most of the search engines give high importance to link value. By building upon one way links, search engines will get the message that your website is very important and popular and automatically more users will access your website. Thus your product is very easily marketed and accessible at the same time.
Lets say the two websites are A and B. Your first website “A” is popular one that is having number of back links and good page rank, next your second website “B” is fairly new one and this do not have more back links and good page rank. For increasing link popularity of “B” your link.
To do this you usually need to contact webmasters directly and arrange to set up a two way link. The trouble with this, is that although they do not do any harm, reciprocal links are not given much value by Google. It has always been very hard to gain one way links to your site, so that is where the idea of three way linking comes into play.
These backlinks are traditionally attained by two-way link exchanges, where two webmasters link to each other’s site to boost both their page ranks, also known as reciprocal linking. While this way has its merits, it is very inefficient as Google places much lower value on links it deems to have been obtained in this way. It was out of this idea that the new three-way-linking idea was born.
PageRank is a system that has been designed with the intent of valuing the importance of a page in the Link Popularity calculations. No longer does the sheer number of links to a site matter. Instead, one must look at the quality of the websites that link to their site.
Link building is an important business strategy that can make any business zoom within a short period of time. In one way link building you can receive an inbound link for your website but you need not to give a reciprocal page to your link partner. Link building and link popularity is very crucial for search engine optimization as it makes a website popular among the online users.
